The  first wave of acts for the twin sister non-camping festivals Common People which will take place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May 2017 on Southampton Common in Hampshire and Oxford's South Park, on the same weekend.

Headlining the main Common Stage on Saturday at Southampton and the Sunday at Oxford is Pete Tong presents Ibiza Classics performed by The Heritage Orchestra, while the 2nd headliner playing the opposite day is Sean Paul.

The Common Stage line-up in Southampton for the Saturday then has Tom Odell, Faithless (DJ set), Loyle Carner, Becky Hill, Stefflon Don, Sean McGowan, Kassassin Street, Elvana: Elvis Fronted Nirvana, and Black Kat Boppers, and Sunday has Groove Armada (DJ set), Wild Beasts, British Sea Power, Amy Macdonald, Nadia Rose, Novelist, House Gospel Choir, Signals, and The Novatones.

The Common Stage line-up in Oxford for the Saturday then has Groove Armada (DJ set), Wild Beasts, Foals (DJ set), The Selecter + The Beat, St Etienne, Amy Macdonald, House Gospel Choir, Lucy Leave, and Sunday has Rag n Bone Man, Becky Hill, The Cuban Brothers, Elvana: Elvis Fronted Nirvana, and Coldredlight.

The line-up for the Uncontained Stage in Southamption on Saturday and Oxford on Sunday is : Moxie Presents On Loop: Joy Orbison, Midland, Kornel Kovacs, Felix Dickinson , Or:La, and the Uncontained Stage in Oxford on Saturday and Southamption on Sunday is My Nu Leng & M8s: Very Special Guest: Goldienovelist , Redlight, GotSome, and Klose1.

There'll also be the Uncommon Stage with local bands, presented in Southampton by The Joiners and in Oxford by Nightshift. For family fun there's the world's biggest bouncy castle (Southampton only) and the Disco Shed (Oxford only) as well as funfair rides, pop-up performances, street food, bars, and a kids area with circus, face painting, inflatables and more.
