BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend has announced their annual free music festival will be held at Burton Constable Hall in Hull, to coincide with its UK City of Culture celebrations for 2017. This year the free festival will take place over two days on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May 2017.

Confirmed so far are Kings of Leon, Little Mix, and Stormzy. The full line-up for Big Weekend 2017 will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The details of how to get tickets will be revealed in the coming weeks. They're free and obtained through a lottery, though there's a handling fee per ticket will be applied to help cover all associated ticket handling costs. The majority of the tickets for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2017 will be allocated to people living in the local area.
