This year's theme has been announced for the family friendly Camp Bestival 2017, which returns for it's 9th edition from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th July, to the picturesque setting of Lulworth Castle, set against the backdrop of England's dramatic Jurassic coastline in Dorset.

Pop fan Rob da Bank said, "Who hasn’t dreamed about busting a move like James Brown, getting into spandex like Kylie, glittering up like Ziggy Stardust or going a bit more sensible like Blur? Well, its time to get into the dressing up box, be a bit brave and get ready for Camp Bestival 2017… now where’s my meat dress?!"

Attendees can expect Daft Punks, Gaga Girls and Beastie Boys, and even whole families of Beatles and more, organisers add, "In among all the crazy excesses of music, theatre, family shows, fairground attractions, outdoor activities, poets, authors, comics and amazing food, we never miss an opportunity to bust out the glitter and spandex and our Pop Stars & Rock Stars theme is the perfect chance to indulge your fantasies and celebrate your musical heroes."

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2017 but expect organiser Rob Da Bank to appear. Camp Bestival is all about bringing back the British Holiday Camp... Bestival style! A place where Hi de Hi camping capers meet the spirit of early festivals and as well as entertainment, comedy, and literature. There will be a full programme music over multiple stages, plus other entertainment including comedy, arts & crafts, spoken word, dance, and more.

Spread across the Castle Field, Kids Garden, Big Top, Bollywood, Black Dahlia, East Lulworth Literary Institute, the festival offers family entertainment, sideshow attractions and more. There's a huge Kids Area filled with things to keep little ones of all ages entertained all day long. Plus Lulworth Castle has its very own Animal Farm where the kids can get up close to their super-friendly animals.

Camp Bestivals are also offering a Christmas No treat with their early bird tickets, book before 9th December and get an exclusive souvenir Camp Bestival Christmas card. Numbers are a strictly limited for these exclusive souvenir cards.

Organisers have also revealed the Camp Bestival Advent Calendar will be back, bursting with festive goodies. NOTE: all tickets will incur a booking fee.

All teens (aged 11 to 17) MUST camp in the same area as their families with a maximum of 2 teens per adult (over the age of 30). All children aged 4 and under (on 31/07/2016) can attend for free (but MUST HAVE a ticket). These ticket holders must be accompanied by a Ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 21.
