The all important ticket on sale date has been announced for CarFest, which raises more than £200,000 each year for Children in Need.

Carfest was conceived in 2012 by Chris Evans as his dream of the perfect family festival; a unique event which combines classic cars, live music and food whilst also raising money for BBC Children in Need.

The north, Cheshire event returns to Bolesworth Castle, happening on Friday 28th to Sunday 30th July 2017, and there's a sister event in the south at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire from Friday 25th until Sunday 27th August 2017.

There are no acts announced yet for 2017. Some of the best cars in the world will be on display and other attractions for festival goers include kids shows from famous authors, theatre shows, and more.

Organisers said, "The first tranche of tickets for both festivals will go on sale at 8am on Thursday morning and are expected to sell-out swiftly. Those missing out, however, will be given a second chance when the remaining 25 per cent of tickets are made available in the spring."

Tickets last year sold out. Tickets for CarFest will go on sale at 8am on Thursday 10th November.

Tickets for next summer will go on sale at 8am on Thursday morning (10th November) during Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.

A weekend adult (aged 17+ years) ticket with camping was priced at £163 or £133 without camping, with children (age 6 to 16 years) weekend with camping tickets priced at £46, or £36 without camping and children aged 5 and under are free and DO NOT require a ticket. A family (2 adults + 2 children) ticket is priced at £326 or £266 without camping. Day tickets are priced at £67 for Friday £15 for children, a Saturday or Sunday adult day ticket is £72 or £15 for children.

A campervan permit is £85. Other ticket options are also available.

A minimum of 25% of the price of each ticket will benefit BBC Children in Need, registered charity number 802052 (England and Wales) and SC039557 (Scotland).
