The Charlatans, Fatherson, and Be Charlotte are confirmed for the Waverley Stage this year, at Edinburgh's Hogmanay's Street Party

Alan Thomson, Director of Unique Events, said, "We are delighted that Fatherson and Be Charlotte will make their Edinburgh’s Hogmanay debut on the Waverley Stage this year. Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is proud to have worked with so many of Scotland’s finest music acts over the years and that tradition continues with two more up and coming Scottish acts completing the line-up for the 2016 Street Party. With different genres represented across four stages including funk, dance, celtic and indie, this year’s Street Party really does offer something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming visitors from around the world to enjoy a fantastic night of New Year’s celebrations."

In addition to the Waverley Stage, The Castle Stage (Scottish) will offer foot stomping performances from Salsa Celtica, Manran, and Ross Ainslie & Ali Hutton. The Frederick Stage (Party) will host Guilty Pleasures, accompanied by VJ's Buttercup and Pixel. Whilst the Mound Stage (Jazz), programmed in collaboration with the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, will feature performances from James Brown Is Annie, Brass Gumbo, and Blues n Trouble.

Edinburgh's Hogmanay organisers Unique Events are expecting another sell-out three day festival, with 150,000 visitors from over 80 countries visiting the celebrations in Scotland’s capital city last year, bringing an estimated economic benefit of over £40 million to the city (figures based on 2014/15 event). Edinburgh’s Hogmanay will not only kick-start 2017, but also launches a year of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of Edinburgh becoming the world's leading festival city. The Festival is also a key part of Scotland’s Winter Festivals celebrations.
