This weekend is the last one for those wanting to buy tickets to register for next year's Glastonbury Festival with registration closing at noon on Monday 3rd October 2016.

It's not long now until tickets for next year's Festival go on sale, although registration does not mean you have bought a ticket, but you can't buy a ticket without a registration number.

In order to buy a ticket Festival goers over the age of 12 must be registered, with online registration only taking a few minutes, this needs to be completed before trying to buy a ticket. Children aged 12 and under do not require tickets and do not need to register.

Registration will be temporarily suspended before and during the main ticket selling period, and will be closing at noon on Monday 3rd October, remaining closed until after next Sunday's main ticket sale.

Festival organisers recommend that if you're hoping to come to come to the Festival next year that you sort / check your registration today, so that any problems can be sorted out ahead of the final cut off date.

Anyone with a registration submitted prior to 2010 will need to re-register, for free, before they can purchase tickets for the 2017 Festival (unless they already have a valid registration from a later year).

Seetickets aim to respond to all registrations within 24 hours during the working week. If you have not had a response from them within that time frame we would suggest the following 3 courses of action:

1) Check your spam/junk email folder, in case your email has been rejected by your service provider

2) Check online at https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/registration/lookup to see if your registration has been approved

3) Re-register at https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/Registration/Register

Both photographs and address details for existing registrations can currently be updated.

All registered festival-goers who want to buy tickets,  priced at £238 + £5 booking fee per ticket, will be able reserve them for £50 using the deposit scheme from 9am on Sunday 9th October 2016, using a debit or credit card, via glastonbury.seetickets.com.

As part of the Festival's continued commitment to green travel, 15,000 coach + ticket packages will, as this year be sold in advance of the general sale and will go on sale at 6pm BST on Thursday, 6th October 2016, via glastonbury.seetickets.com, rewarding green travellers with the chance to be the first to secure their Glastonbury 2017 tickets. Festival goers opting for the coach package will pay extra for transport.

Festival goers will be able to book a ticket by paying a deposit, with the balance payable (£188 + £5 booking fee) in the first week of April 2017 (from 09:00 Saturday 1st April – 23:59 Friday 7th April). Please note that there is no option to pay your ticket balance prior to the date.

Campervan tickets for 2017 will cost £100 for a standard pitch (8m x 7m) or £200 for a double pitch (16m x 7m) and will be released, alongside Worthy View accommodation and Tipis (priced at £995), later in October. Car park tickets will be priced at £45 and will be available when paying your ticket balance.

As with the general release of tickets, Festival goers will be able to book up to six coach + ticket packages per transaction, and securable with a deposit.

To prevent touting Festival goers must register in advance for tickets which are non-transferable. Each ticket features the photograph of the registered ticket holder with security checks carried out to ensure that only the person in the photograph is admitted to the Festival.

Anyone who would like to go to the Festival must register, and that includes children aged 13, 14 and 15.

Any ticket deposits for which the balance has not been paid by 8th April 2017 will be automatically refunded to the card on which they were booked; with a £15 administration charge retained and all tickets for which the balance has not been paid will be cancelled.

Organisers have published the following tips for getting a ticket:

1. Make sure you have all your registration details (including postcodes) ready and checked in advance, that there are sufficient cleared funds on the card you intend to use to book, and that you know all the security information for that card.
2. Be aware that tickets are not held whilst you’re entering your details, so you need to be ready to enter all your details quickly and accurately once you reach the booking page.
3. Be persistent and patient – there are likely to be more people trying to buy tickets than there are tickets available, so inevitably not everyone will be able to book tickets, but the longer you try the more likely you are to get a ticket.
4. Stick to one tab, in one window, so you can focus on entering your details without confusing your browser. Access to the booking page is limited to 10 minutes from the point you enter your registration details (but tickets are not held during this time), so if you have lots of tabs refreshing the same page, the clock will start as soon as the first one of those tabs hits the site, which may have been a window you weren’t keeping an eye on.
6. If the page ‘hangs’ and you can’t get any further, try pressing back once and then continue your booking from that point. If that doesn’t help, close your browser and start again. Please don’t continue to refresh the page beyond 10 minutes after entering your details as your access to the page will have expired. You will need to close the browser and start again to gain fresh access to the booking page.
7. If an attempt to book is already held against your registration number, your number will be held for up to 10 minutes whilst the transaction is attempted, but will be released if the transaction fails, to give you the chance to try again.

Tickets for this year's event sold out in in just under 33 minutes.
