Bat For Lashes is the second Saturday night headlining act to be announced for By The Sea Weekender taking place in the newly-refurbished Ballroom, in Dreamland Margate, an amusement park located in Margate, Kent, and held on Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October 2016.

The news coincides with the release of Natasha Khan's new concept album, The Bride, which is out today, Friday 1st July, and sees her assume the role of a woman who learns at the altar that her groom has died in a car crash on his way to their wedding. The tragic events prompt her to take off in their honeymoon car, thus embarking on a journey through notions of love, loss, grief, acceptance and celebration.

Also added to the bill across the weekend are Eagulls, Kagoule, Gang, Our Girl, Fuoco, Ray Gun, and Dreamweaver

The first acts to be announced for this year are Friday headliners Super Furry Animals, and Wild Beasts, Wolf Alice headline Saturday night, plus Mystery Jets, Jagwar Ma, Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), Ibibio Sound Machine, Anna Meredith, Let.s Eat Grandma, The Big Moon, Bill Ryder Jones, Meilyr Jones, Dreller, and Sink The Pink Ballroom Takeover.
