New for 2016 is the The Raconteurs' Delight Stage a steampunk-themed Raconteurs' Bar that each night will serve cocktails in mugs and spiced temperance drinks while poets, comedians and cabaret artistes entertain. Salena Godden, Jamie Kelsey, Jackie Hagan, More Ice and Honey, Midnight Shelley, Viney, Neil Pike, Multiklunes, Steve Kaos, and Tea for Two join a line up that includes John Hegley, The Antipoet, Jenn Hart, Rosie Swayne, Gilli Bloodaxe, and Anna Beecher. Daytime activities include Breton and Scandanavian dance workshops, community choir, songwriting, clowning, creative writing, belly dance, and Shakespeare with Presence Theatre.

They join Nik Turner's New Space Ritual, John Fairhurst, Dub The Earth, 3 Daft Monkeys, Kangaroo Moon, The Ukrainians, Seize The Day, Hoopy Frood, Here & And The Wasters, Bob Hillary and the Massive Mellow, Bones, Brockley Forest, Nigel Shaw and Carolyn Hillyer, The Colossal Perverts of Jazz, De fuego, The Don Bradmans, The Don Fox Scandal, Dub Thieves, Anna Beecher, Blanty, Bea Everett, Bruce Neil, Catrin O'Neill, Creedy, Declan Millar, Now, Tarantism, Dohnut (formerly known as eating disorder), Edd Donovan And The Wandering Moles, The Pagan Love Cult, Tetch, Echo Town, Tess of the Circle, Little Sparrow, Regime, Sinnober, Dansi, Wierdstring Band, and for the Raconteurs' Stage, spoken word artists include John Hegley, Anti Poet, Rosie Swayne, Jenn Hart, Gilli Bloodaxe, and The Electric Brains.

Live music and DJs are just one aspect of this, off grid festival. A Speakers' Forum provides a platform for key Green thinkers; the Brigadoon Stage hosts informal acoustic music sessions; and there's a spoken word arena for poets, comedians and raconteurs.

With the strapline 'beyond hedonism', The Green Gathering blends protest culture and environmental activism with wild music and wanton dancing in the best tradition of old-skool festival.

Landscaped grounds high above the Wye Valley offer views of the Severn estuary and bridges; the ruins of neoclassical Piercefield House provide an atmospheric backdrop; and the rolling parkland of the site, encircled by woods, has ample space for camping.
