The Band Stand, and Theatre Tent line-ups revealed for Beautiful Days

The line-up has been announced for The Band Stand, and Theatre Tent at this summer's Beautiful Days, which takes place at Escot Park, near Fairmile, Devon from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st August 2016.

Also added to the main stages line-ups are Will Varley, Rag n Bone Man, the RPMs, Bad Cardigan, The Oh Hellos, The Membranes, Ward Thomas, Rev Hammer, Big Fish Little Fish, and Future Flex.

Put together by the Levellers, Beautiful Days is an old-style festival featuring quality acts old and new, and The Band Stand will play host to live music, comedy and chat from Alexander McKay, Brian Stone, Calling All Astronauts, Chris Eccleshall, CUD (acoustic) , Drumscapes, Flipron, Geoff Lakeman, Greenman Rising, Jack Of All, Josephine and The Artizans, Medicine Hat, Neck, Paul Coultas, Rews, The Frank & Walters, The Steve Eggs Band, The Sweetchunks Band, and Whitestar, and open mic sessions throughout the weekend, John Robb in conversation with CUD, The Frank and Walters, and Tony Wright (Terrorvision) plus on Sunday the 2016 Fancy Dress Competition.

They will be joined on the seated Theatre Tent bill over the weekend by stand-up comedy from Phil Kay, Danny Ward, Chris Brooker, Sean Percival, Gerry K, and Mike Gunn. Kids' favourites Rise N Shine return with Entertainingly Different every morning, Makeshift Ensemble who present Fox and Rabbits idiots guide to The Owl and the Pussycat – Adventures in a pea-green boat, magician Magic Matt, Entertainingly Different present Beautiful Days 'The Musical' and Swamp Circus bring their family show The Curiosity Shop. Le Navet Bete with new show The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Wake Up & Dance, plus French/English female comedy double-act Spitz & Co who present Gloriator, The Crazy Tramps with an amazing trampoline show, Superbolt Theatre with their hilarious Dinosaur Park and comedy performer Matt Barnard.

Headline acts confirmed alongside Sunday's headliners hosts Levellers are Leftfield on Friday night, and on Saturday night James. Plus Afro Celt Sound System, The Coral, The Proclaimers, Mariachi El Bronx, Gentleman's Dub Club, Reef, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Ezra Furman, The Damned, Terrorvision, Dreadzone, The Selecter, Hollie Cook, Lanterns on the Lake, UK Feds, Flight Brigade, and The Church.

Headlining on the festival's Big Top stage are Billy Bragg, Baaba Maal, and Treacherous Orchestra. Also appearing are Seth Lakeman, Martin Carthy, The Damned playing a second set, this time playing Damned, Damned, Damned in its entirety, Fotheringay, The Unthanks, Le Vent du Nord, Ethan Johns & Black Eyed Dogs, Show of Hands, Wildflowers, Foy Vance, Stick in the Wheel, Sound of the Sirens, Mad Dog Mcrea, and The Lounge Kitten.

The Little Big Top will play host to Toddla T, DJ Hype, and Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra, plus Mungo's Hi Fi Sound System, Solo Banton, Harry Shotta, Max Pashm, North Base, Too Many T's, Mr. Nice, Phantasy, Subgiant, Skata Tones, Invisible Opera Company of Tibet, Rapha Ghetti, AAA Badboy, and Reeps One. The Little Big Top also hosts The Silent Disco for two nights and family rave Big Fish Little Fish on Friday afternoon.

The line-up for The Bimble Inn will be announced in the coming months.

The Sunday theme for 2016 is 'Stars'.... full outfits or accessories, its up to you. The site art and other elements of the festival will be influenced, as usual, by the theme.

The line-ups for the last three stages, The Theatre Tent, The Bimble Inn and The Band Stand, will be announced in the coming months.

Now in it's 14th year tickets have sold out in advance every year There will be no day tickets available.

The festival which is licensed for 15,000 will feature music across six stages, and street theatre, as well as site art and sculpture, lots of children's activities a huge children's area in the centre of the festival, theatre, comedy, family camping, camping facilities, licensed bars from local company Otter Brewery, world food, craft stalls, fancy dress, a 'village shop' on site, and more. There is plenty of family camping close to the car parks.

Tickets for this event sell out every year, so it's best to get them sooner rather than hoping they are still available later.

An adult weekend camping ticket will be priced at £135, child (10 to under 16 years of age) weekend camping tickets is £65, children aged 5 to under 10's weekend camping tickets is £35 and under 5's weekend camping tickets is ££5.

Campervan passes are priced at £40 and car routing/parking passes are £15.

All tickets are subject to booking fee. Please make sure you purchase tickets for the age your child will be when they attend the festival, not their age at the time you buy. Children of all ages count as part of the festivals capacity and must have a ticket. All under 16's must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Proof of age may be required for childrens tickets.

The festival will once again be offering free tickets for carers, disabled/flat camping and parking - all of which must be booked in advance.
