Nizlopi, and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.'s Sam Duckworth's new project Recreations will be headlining Purbeck Folk Festival held at Purbeck Valley Farm, near Swanage and taking place in the Purbeck Hills, in Dorset over the weekend of Thursday 25th until Sunday 28th August 2016.

Festival organiser Catherine Burke said, "Nizlopi performed for our festival in 2014 and went down a storm. We are very excited to welcome Nizlopi back for a rare performance! Their songs are great and their performance charismatic and theatrical. Nizlopi will be perfect entertainment for the fun-loving audience at Purbeck Valley Folk Festival."

They will be joined on the bill by Sheelanagig, Lucy Ward, The Undercover Hippy, Maz O'Connor, Kadia, Djambo, Thirstyman, Krista Green, Rod Jenkins, Latin Quarter, Boo Hewerdine, Catherine Burke, Pete Christie, Glenn Ross, Wareham Whalers, Katriona Gilmore & Jamie Roberts, Holy Moly & the Crackers, Cate Ferris, Threepenny Bit, Alex Roberts, Quinns Quinney, Wikkaman, The Model Folk, and Ian Brown.

Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band, The Proclaimers, and 2 more acts to be announced will also be headlining, plus the line-up includes the previously announced Kathryn Roberts And Sean Lakeman, Rory McLeod & the Familiar Strangers, The Hot Seats, and Cardboard Fox.

Now in its eighth year, Purbeck Folk Festival’s line-up offers an eclectic mix of original young folk, established roots, traditional and world music in a family-friendly environment. The four stages are contained in the farm’s barns and a marquee venue that hosts the Purbeck Rising final and open mic sessions.

Weekend tickets (Fri-Sun) include free camping and are on sale now priced at £100, a youth (aged 12 to 17 years) ticket is priced at £50, and child over three years of age ticket is priced at £20. A limited number A campervan of caravan pass is priced at £30 per vehicle. Day tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date.
