The first acts have been announced for Love Supreme Jazz Festival a three day green-field Jazz Festival with camping for 15,000, that returns for a second year to Glynde Place, East Sussex, from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd July 2016.

Headlining on Saturday night will be Grace Jones. Joining her that day are Lianne La Havas, and Gilles Peterson, who brings his seminal Dingwalls Sessions with Patrick Forge to The Arena.

The main stage on Sunday will see Burt Bacharach close out a bill that also includes Caro Emerald, Kelis, and Average White Band.

The Big Top on Saturday will see a live debut and UK exclusive from a brand new trio featuring John Scofield, Brad Mehldau and Mark Guiliana. Also appearing will be Stanley Clarke, Ibrahim Maalouf, and Cecile McLorin Salvant.

Sunday’s Big Top sees Melody Gardot, Kamasi Washington, and Gogo Penguin.

Also appearing across the weekend are Jacob Collier, The Correspondents, Liane Carroll, Binker & Moses, Anthony Strong, Femi Temowo with Engines Orchestra, Swindle, Riot Jazz, Beats & Pieces Big Band, Native Dancer, Partikel's String Theory, Trope, plus club nights from Tru Thoughts, a special White Mink DJ/AV show and more to be announced.

In total expect over 50 acts on four stages showcasing jazz greats, international legends, cutting edge artists, as well as DJs, artist Q&As, a fairground, classic album playbacks and glamping. Several more high profile acts will be announced in due course.
