The Sunday headliner at next year's family friendly outer space themed Camp Bestival 2016, has been announced as Tears for Fears, making their first festival appearance since 1990.

Festival goers can expect a hit filled festival closing set including 'Mad World', 'Shout', 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World', 'The Seeds of Love', 'Everybody Loves a Happy Ending', 'Raoul and the Kings of Spain' and more.

Commenting on their first UK festival appearance in 26 years, Tears for Fears said, "We are so looking forward to playing our first UK festival since our last one in 1990 at Knebworth. I know we're not the most prolific artists but we believe in quality over quantity. We're looking forward to performing new & old songs as we will have finished our new album before we perform. The fact that it's in the West Country where we began our journey makes it all the more gratifying. We look forward to seeing you at Camp Bestival."

Camp Bestival which returns for it's 9th edition from Thursday 28th to Sunday 31st July, to the picturesque setting of Lulworth Castle, in Dorset has previously confirmed Jess Glynne will be headlining Friday night, and Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim will headline Saturday night.

Plus the live adaptation of the children’s book, Aliens Love Underpants, Dick & Dom, and Justin Fletcher aka Mr Tumble. There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016.

There are no other acts confirmed yet for 2016. Space captain Rob Da Bank at the controls said "Songs from the Big Chair was, and still is, one of my most treasured albums, and one which appears totally timeless. I still can't figure out what most of the lyrics mean, but when the music and vocals are so strong it doesn't matter. We took our kids on holiday last year and only had two CDs in the car, one of them was this and they cannot get enough of it, too… so, I know after five years of trying, Tears for Fears are going to be something very special at Camp Bestival for all ages."

Space cadets can also expect Flying Astronauts, Planetarium Shows, Cosmology Workshops, Stargazing, Space Orchestras, Rocket Building, Space Smells, Post A Space Card, Giant Rockets, Build Your Own Planet, Make Space Murals and lots more. With plenty of edifying action from the National Space Centre, The Science Museum, Royal Observatory Greenwich, Okido, Explorer Domes and many more.

Expect also a host of Camp Bestival attractions including the Kids’ Gardens, Bollywood, the Big Top, The Greatest Tent on Earth, the Dingly Dell, the Bestival Inflatable Church, Caravanserai, the Castle Stage, Son et Lumiere fireworks, there will be adventurous family fun exploring strange new worlds of music, theatre, shows, attractions, activities, poets, authors, talks and delicious, healthy food.

All tickets ordered before 11th December also get a super-festive and exclusive Outer Space Camp Bestival Christmas card and a souvenir ticket. Numbers are limited so grab this Yuletide bargain while you can.
