Those that missed out on Glastonbury Festival tickets have the chance to win up to ten tickets or a VIP tour of Worthy Farm with Michael Eavis as the chauffeur, through a special eBay suction as part of the fundraiser for Oxfam's refugee appeal.

Oxfam is coming to the aid of refugees from many parts of the world. The charity’s Refugee Crisis Emergency Appeal is helping Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan providing life saving water and sanitation. It’s also giving essential support to refugee families in Europe handing out food, clothes, shoes and personal hygiene kits.

The special auction, (here), is being held on Oxfam's page on eBay and includes ten lots with Emily Eavis donating five pairs of tickets with additional on-site experiences including DJing at the Festival, watching a Pyramid Stage set from the wings, the chance to help light the phoenix in the Green Fields on the Wednesday night, introducing an act on stage, or pressing the Arcadia Spider's Fire Button.

The auction also includes the opportunity for a tour of Worthy Farm and the Festival site with Michael Eavis for two people in his famous old Land Rover when no one else is around a few months before the Festival starts, the use of a Glastonbury Festival meeting room, a personalised Glastonbury oil drum bin, and signed limited edition prints.

Emily Eavis said, "The plight of refugees who have left their homes due to fear and aggression has moved everyone in the Glastonbury Festival team and we want to do something to help. We hope this auction will raise many thousands of pounds so that Oxfam, which has been a trusted partner of Glastonbury for many years, can deliver the support these people so desperately need."

Oxfam’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Penny Lawrence added, "We are so grateful to Glastonbury Festival for donating the items for this amazing auction. All the money raised will help refugees far from their homes who are enduring heartbreaking situations. Once again we are touched by Glastonbury’s generosity, kindness and support."

The auction ends on Tuesday 13th October.

Tickets sold out in just 32 minutes this year and eFestivals will let ticket buyers know when the re-sale will be.

There will then be no further UK or International payments taken until the booking site re-opens on the first week of April 2016. Anyone who decides not to pay their balance by 23:59 on Thursday 7th April 2016 will be refunded their deposit, minus a £15 administration fee. If the ticket was booked with a Coach Package, then an additional £10 will be retained. Those tickets will then be put forward to re-sales, which are likely to be in April or May 2016.

The deadline for ticket refunds will be Friday 6th May 2016.

In order to buy a ticket Festival goers over the age of 12 must be registered, with online registration only taking a few minutes, this needs to be completed before trying to buy a ticket. Children aged 12 and under do not require tickets and do not need to register.

Registration does not mean you have bought a ticket, but you can't buy a ticket without a registration number.

Tickets for Worthy View, the pre-erected camp site offering a range of British-made traditional scout tents, bell tents, tipi tents and small yurts are likely to go on sale a couple of weeks after the ticket sales. For the first time this year you will also be able to book campervan tickets and tipis in this sale.

Glastonbury Festival will take place on 2,000 acres around a farm in Pilton, Somerset over five full days from Wednesday 23rd until Sunday 27th June 2016. As ever, entry includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising more than £2 million in funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and a host of local charities and causes.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016. Expect something like 2,000 performances at over 100 venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information, site art, decor, and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!
