As the dust settles on last weekend's Bloodstock Open Air, next year's event taking place from Thursday 11th until Sunday 14th August 2016 again at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire has already confirmed the first brace of acts as early bird tickets go on sale.

In a UK festival exclusive Behemoth will play their critically lauded current album, 'The Satanist' in full, as Friday's special guests. Frontman, Nergal Adel, said, "Our Bloodstock performance from 2013 was one of the highlights of our long career! Just thinking about that night gives me shivers and makes me hungry for more. It is with utmost pleasure and honour that we announce our show in 2016! We'll be performing The Satanist in full…! We literally cannot wait to come back to UK shores!"

They will be joined on the bill by seminal black metal icons Venom who will also take to the stage on the Friday.

For the first line-up details as available please see the Bloodstock line-up page.

There are no other acts confirmed yet for 2016.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across four stages, Bloodstock will offer a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.
