With just over a week to go Plymouth Volksfest a VW themed weekend held at Newnham Park from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May 2015 has been cancelled.

Organisers made a statement saying, "Regrettably, after the continued deterioration of the health of one the key Event Coordinators it is not possible for the 2015 show to take place. It has been a difficult decision to make at this very late stage.

Face value of all tickets will be refunded through The Ticketsellers - www.theticketsellers.co.uk

Plymouth outlets are not able to make refunds on tickets - all refunds will be processed by The Ticketsellers.

If you wish to make any enquiries directly to the remaining organisers please contact via email - tickets@plymouthvolksfest.co.uk - whilst every email will be answered please be patient, as you can imagine there is a lot to get through.

I would like to thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time, we're disappointment beyond words that we're not able to give you the weekend we had planned, it really hasn't been an easy decision to make.."

eFestivals wishes organiser Vince a speedy recovery. Vince is one of the founders of the festival and does an awful lot of work over the festival weekend to ensure it runs, without him the festival, now in it's eighth year, is unable to replace him.

The line-up of over 200 acts across six stages, included Ocean Colour Scene, East 17, Atomic Kitten, Wilko Johnson, Finley Quaye, Otis Redding III, Mad Dog Mcrea, Land of the Giants, Lionface, Antimatador, Vince Lee & the Big Combo, Moriaty, Alex Hart, Double Denim, Haunt the Woods, Andy Quick's Unidentified Flying Orchestra, 4th Street Traffic, Thomas Ford, Melosa, ChainSka Brassika, There Goes Lizzie, Richard James and The Redoubt, Manushka, Russell Sinclair, The Retro Gents, Empire of Fools, The Paisley Strays, and Dead Set Dream.
