Madness announce tour of iconic sporting venues

Madness have announced a series of Outdoor shows in what will be their 'Greatest Live Open Air Tour... Ever!' runing from May to September 2015, it takes place at some of the greatest and most prestigious sporting venues around the country, including racecourses, cricket grounds, rugby and football stadiums.

The band will be playing hits such as 'Baggy Trousers', 'It Must Be Love', 'House of Fun' and debut album 'One Step Beyond' which charted in the UK for an impressive 37 weeks, reaching the #2 spot.

The band said, "Come see, come see! The world's strongest band perform incredible feats live! Marvel as Madness lift an enormous set of polished pop songs high in the air, single handed! The UK's biggest open air tour ever! Rolling into a town near you, soon."

The shows are intended to offer concertgoers the unique experience of an outdoor event with a festival vibe, set within theconic green spaces.

Wednesday 3rd June - Chelmsford City Racecourse, Chelmsford
Saturday 6th June - Fratton Park, Portsmouth
Saturday 27th June - Doncaster Racecourse, Doncaster
Sunday 28th June - Sussex County Cricket Ground, Hove
Thursday 2nd July - Silverstone, Silverstone
Thursday 9th July - Epsom Downs Racecourse, Epsom
Friday 10th July - Chepstow Racecouse, Chepstow
Saturday 11th July - Rhyl Events Arena, Rhyl
Friday 11th September - Kent County Cricket Club, Kent
Saturday 12th September - County Cricket Ground, Bristol
Friday 18th September - Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds
Friday 25th September - Wolverhampton Racecourse, Dunstall Park
Saturday 26th September - Durham County Cricket Club, Durham
