Pharrell Williams, The Chemical Brothers (live), and D'Angelo And The Vanguard lead the first acts confirmed for Japan's Summer Sonic now in it's 16th year taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August at the twin sites of Chiba Marine Stadium& Makuhari Messe, Tokyo and Maishima Sports Island, Osaka.
Also confirmed are Imagine Dragons, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Manic Street Preachers performing 'The Holy Bible', The Script, Mew, Passion Pit, All Time Low, Echosmith, Magic!, Marmozets, Nico & Vinz, Sheppard, and Slaves.
They are the first of more than 120 acts who will be announced to appear across 8 stages. The line-up is a mix of international acts alongside local ones from both major and indie record companies.
Tickets are priced at 28,500 yen for Tokyo, and 23,500 yen for Osaka.
The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba (Tokyo) the following day and vice versa.
