The Libertines will headline T in the Park. They are the first act announced for the festival celebrating it's 22nd year in its new Perthshire home of Strathallan Castle from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th July 2015 with early entry available on Thursday 9th July.

The Libertines found success in 2002  with the decade-defining debut album Up the Bracket and played T in the Park in 2004. Before coming off the rails in classic rock style and disbanding after the release of their self titled second album.

Last summer, the band fronted by Carl Barat and Pete Doherty announced their reunion, now they return to headline T in the Park with their anthemic hits – including Don’t Look Back Into The Sun, Up The Bracket and Can’t Stand Me Now.

Festival Director Geoff Ellis said, "The Libertines are a truly iconic British band, revered as cult heroes by a generation of music fans and adored by the Scottish crowd. They chose Scotland as the destination for their live return on home soil last June, and raised the roof of the Barrowlands with twoexhilarating shows.

"We can’t wait to welcome them back in what is a historic year for T in the Park, as we take up residency at our beautiful new home, Strathallan Castle. It’s going to be a very special year for T in the Park, and we can’t wait to welcome you all to Strathallan."

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 27th February.

T in the Park 2015 tickets will be available in the following options:

A full weekend with Thursday camping (Thurs - Sun)
A full weekend camping ticket (Fri-Sun arena access)
A weekend (Fri-Sun) with no camping

No under 5s. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult 21+ with a full priced ticket.

Bus packages will also be available to buy and offer the easiest, most efficient way to travel to Strathallan Castle this summer.
