Cumbria's Kendal Calling organisers Lakeside Creative Limited will find out tomorrow if their application to Eden Council is successful for permission to increase the capacity of the event from its current 20,000 to almost 35,000 over the next three years.

According to The Cumberland News & Star (here) organisers also want to extend the festival so that it is one day longer, and starts with a full day of music on Thursday 30th July with this year's 10th anniversary event still set to end on Sunday 2nd August 2015 at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in the Lake District.

Their application will be discussed at a meeting of Eden’s licensing committee on Wednesday when councillors will decided on whether to grant the new licence for the event to become bigger, and host 5,000 more festival goers this summer.

There are no acts confirmed yet for the event.

Tier 2 tickets have sold out, and tier 3 tickets are not yet on sale. Tickets are back on sale soon. There is a 6 month payment plan currently available payable in 6 instalments of £24.03 including booking fee.
