Liverpool Sound City has announced the first guests for its conference which will take place in the Rum Warehouse at The Titanic Hotel, on Stanley Dock.

First to be announced as part of the conference line up, under 2015's theme of 'The Unsung Hero', are The Fall’s front man Mark E. Smith,  NYC punk and Ramones manager Danny Fields and James Barton, creator of Cream.

Taking place on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May, the international music conference will debate, discuss and highlight key issues with the contemporary music business with seasoned veterans and younger voices, the commemorative John Peel World Cup, and legendary keynote speakers and special guests. LSC also helps the creative industry to grow and evolve is an integral part of LSC's ethos, with networking, education and skills development a central part of the main event.

Dave Pichilingi, CEO of Sound City, said, "We all know the names of the people who are the supposed Godfathers and saviours of rock and roll; Elvis, The Beatles, The Stones, The Sex Pistols, the list goes on.  What about those who lie in the murky shadows?  Those artists and individuals who single handedly helped to shape and change the direction of rock and roll forever but have never really been recognised.  What about their journeys?  These are the stories that we want to hear.  These are the stories that need to be told.  For your delight and delectation, Sound City presents The Unsung Heroes!"
