The Proclaimers will be the first act to be headliners on a Thursday night when they top the bill at next year's 12th Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival which for the first time will feature a main stage headliner on the enhanced opening night.

Fans of the event which sell out early every year, will be pleased to hear that an optional three day ticket offering an additional headliner performance on the main stage on the Thursday opening night has been added to the event.

Scotland’s iconic Reid brothers, Charlie and Craig, will be making a return to the festival exactly ten years after they last headlined it and their appearance will be the first of another tour of the World.

Craig and Charlie commented "We are absolutely delighted to heading back to Belladrum after 10 years since we first played there in 2005. It has been fantastic to see the festival grow from strength to strength and we look forward immensely to returning and playing the Garden Stage next August."

In order to see The Proclaimers, festivalgoers will need to buy a three day ticket to the event as the usual weekend ticket does not give access to the main stage on the Thursday night.

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival will take place on Thursday 6th to Saturday 8th August 2015 in the picturesque surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire, Scotland.

Belladrum offers plenty of interest aside from the music, including an array of entertainment for children, although the fairground rides will not be on site this year. Attractions include street theatre, cabaret, cinema, dance, alternative therapies, stalls, food and drink

I can’t think of a more appropriate act to launch our first year of offering an extra main stage headliner at Bella,” said festival promoter Joe Gibbs. “The Proclaimers gave the event the support it needed from a major Scottish act in its difficult second year. Who better, now, to launch our new third night on the main stage?
