At last weekend's Off The Tracks Summer Festival organisers revealed in the programme notes that they have decided that they won't be running the usual annual spring event next year and will just run a larger summer event.

The popular family-friendly festival takes place in and around the courtyard of Donington Park Farmhouse, in Derbyshire and offers folk, roots, dance and fusion acts accompanied by real ales and ciders, acoustic sessions, stalls, and atmospheric surroundings. Off The Tracks (Summer) 2015 will take place from Friday 6th until Sunday 7th September.

Organiser Andy Cooper told eFestivals exclusively, "We will be going ahead with the Summer fest 2015 And reconsidering Spring for 2016. The market place is far too crowded and as a small festival we cant afford to loose customers .

Even a few makes all the difference to us. Over the last few years we have been mercilessly targeted by other festivals.

With their online marketing, artist programming, and moving venues and dates to put themselves in direct competition We are very disappointed and did not take the decision lightly!"

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2015. Ticket prices have not yet been announced and are not yet on sale. Advance tickets also cover free camping and parking, including caravans and live-in vehicles.

For twenty-six years the twin event run by Andy and Boz has been proving that small is beautiful and an event can still offer top music and entertainment without being corporate.
