Flashback Festival due to take place at Hylands House in Chelmsford, Essex on Saturday 13th September 2014 has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

The festival that had a line-up featuring Billy Ocean, Heather Small, Marc Almond, ABC, Hue and Cry, Go West, From the Jam, T'Pau, and The Doctor from Dr & the Medics has been cancelled because, according to organisers, the area within the park we are using is in an unacceptable condition to put on the event after the V Festival used the site last month. A statement from organisers, UK Events, says,

"It is with deep regret that UK Events has cancelled the Hylands Park Concerts 2014, this is the first time that we have cancelled an event in the history of our trading so the decision was not taken lightly.
The site was recently used for the VFestival and after a recent site visit we do not feel that the area within the park we are using is acceptable to put on our concerts. UK Events prides itself on putting on quality outdoor concerts and we feel that going forward with this event would harm our reputation and potentially spoil consumers experience.
Anybody who has purchased a ticket can get a refund from the ticket agency they ordered these through.
UK Events would like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused but we feel that this is the responsible thing to do under the circumstances. "

Tickets were priced at £37.95 for adults, £22 children 5-13, and under 5s free and ticket purchasers can get a refund from the ticket agency they ordered these through.

Flashback Festival was one of three events at Hylands Park with the Aled Jones and the Philharmonic Orchestra, and Wet Wet Wet concerts also cancelled by organisers.
