According to The Sun, (here), Diana Ross could be appearing  on the Pyramid Stage at next summer's Glastonbury Festival in the traditional Sunday legend slot (a position taken by Dolly Parton this year).

The main Pyramid Stage on Sunday has also previously seen acts like Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, Johnny Cash, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Neil Diamond and Brian Wilson.

The Sun reveals that they they have been informed that festival organisers are hoping to secure The Supremes' Motown hero, ''[Organisers] were thinking it was going to be impossible to top Dolly. But now it looks like they will get Diana Ross, which will be incredible. It won’t be cheap but she’s worth every penny. She still tours around the world and puts on a fantastic show."

The newspaper also quotes Nile Rodgers from Chic, a collaborator with the 70-year-old superstar as supporting the booking. They quote Nile as saying, "Diana is one of my greatest friends and she is an incredible performer. I know she’d love to feel the vibe and the love from any festival audience. Sure, she’s a diva. But I absolutely love divas because they care and are passionate about what they do. I once saw her being told she was singing flat and she stormed out of the studio and went to France for two weeks — she says she doesn’t remember that happening."

Organiser Emily Eavis has already tweeted that the legend's slot has been booked this year, replying to a suggestion the Smokey Robinson perform, she replied (here), "That slot's filled, very early I know, but thanks for the suggestion...."

We will have to wait and see if the Pyramid moves to the sounds of 'Baby Love', 'Stop! In the Name of Love', 'I Will Survive' and more. The first acts for the line-up are not expected to be announced until early next year. Other acts rumoured for Glastonbury 2015 include, AC/DC, and Fleetwood Mac.
