New for this year, Loopallu have teamed up with Ullapool Book Festival to present Literally Literary, a celebration of writing which includes authors Christopher Brookmyre, Katie Morag creator Mairi Hedderwick, Doug Johnstone, and BBC presenter Vic Galloway chats about his debut novel and Aidan Moffat.

Robert Hicks, Festival Founder & Organiser, said, "They said it couldn’t be done, a festival in the North West of Scotland , in late September… and here we are ten years later.

"It never ceases to amaze me how people have taken Loopallu to their hearts. Whether they’ve walked a few hundred yards to get here or flown around the globe.

"That goes for the bands too, looking back we’ve managed to attract everyone from Paolo Nutini to Mumford & Sons, Jake Bugg to Franz Ferdinand. It can’t help but make you smile.

"To have sold out this year before announcing a single act is testament to fact people know they’ll have a great time whoever’s playing. Roll on our 20th birthday."

Tickets have sold out. Tickets were priced at £65 without camping, £80 with weekend camping, and caravan tickets priced at £25. Weekend tickets for children aged 6-12 years are priced at £10 with or without camping. Under-5s are free, though everyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.  Prices do not include booking fees.

The festival has a 2500 capacity. Situated in the pretty little fishing village of Ullapool on the shores Loch Broom Loopallu has activities for all ages in addition to the music. The festival also offers local food and drink along with fringe events throughout the village.
