The Libertines have been confirmed as the third headlining act for Portugal's Optimus Alive 2014, and will take to the main stage on the final day of the festival, Saturday 12th July.

Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, and company will only be making this single concert appearance in Portugal in 2014. The group have only announced three festival appearances this summer, shows at London's Hyde Park for British Summer Time with a warm up beforehand in Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom and a headlining appearance at Spain's Benicassim.

Arctic Monkeys are the opening night headliner, with The Black Keys headlining the Friday, and A-Trak, Cherub, Drenge, Kelis, Booka Shade, Ben Howard, Nicolas Jaar, Foster The People, SBTRKT, Parquet Courts, The War On Drugs, Temples, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Au Revoir Simone, Cass McCombs, Paus, Elbow, Daughter, Bastille, The 1975, Buraka Som Sistema, Chromeo, Interpol, MGMT, Polica, Chet Faker, Caribou, Imagine Dragons, The Vicious Five, Nina Kraviz, Jungle, SOHN, The Last Internationale, and The Luminers are also confirmed.

Other acts added to the line-up are Daphni, Pearson Sound, Pantha Du Prince, Midland, Tasker, Manuel Furia e os Naufragos, DJ Capt, Luvlace, The Fishtails, Sequin, Squareone, Blackbird Prophet, Bjacr, Lcomandante E General, Michael Yang, and Fil, The Captain on Thursday.

Plus Boys Noize, Russian Red, Gunrose, Cavaliers Of Fun, Fritus Potatoes Suicide, Keep Razors Sharp, The Walks, Clouds Collapse, BangBang Romance, Hostage Society, Guilande, Sidney Ferdinand, and PH Neutro on Friday.

With Phantogram, Tom Mash, Beautify Junkyards, D'Alva, Grrrl Riot, Juba, Caelum's Edge, Miguel Tocha, Dogma, Seth, Dr Young, Marmaduke, and Freemind joining The Libertines on Saturday.

Now in it's 8th year the annual Music and Arts festival for 50,000 people, takes place in Lisbon, the capital of sunny Portugal, over new dates between Thursday 10th and Saturday 12th of July, with bands starting at 5pm each day.

A 3 day ticket with camping is priced at £104.10 with camping or £90.30 without camping. A day ticket is priced at £45.60. Prices do not include booking fees.
