Sonisphere add HIM, and Comeback Kid as exclusives

They may have lost Metallica as an exclusive one off this summer, but Sonisphere have added HIM as a one-off this summer, and Comeback Kid will be making their only UK festival this summer at Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire.

Also confirmed for the weekend of Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July 2014 are Sweet Savage, October File, Eureka Machines, The Bots, Straight Lines, Zico Chain, Black Dogs, Love Zombies, Stormzone, Shrine, Rival State, The Wild Lies, The Raven Age, and Empire Kill.

Already confirmed to perform on the Apollo stage on the Saturday, Anthrax will now be appearing on the Friday as well, stomping their way through their classic 'Among The Living' album in full, in the Bohemia tent.

The Prodigy will kick off the weekend with a bang on Friday night followed by Iron Maiden on Saturday night and Metallica closing the festival on Sunday. Also confirmed are Limp Bizkit, The Sisters of Mercy, Alice in Chains,  Dream Theater, Devil You Know, Yashin, Ghost, Gojira, Karnivool, and Mastodon all as exclusives, as well as Wilko Johnson, Band Of Skulls, Gary Numan, 65daysofstatic, Bam Margera's FuckFace Unstoppable, Little Matador, Carcass, The Winery Dogs, New Model Army, Sebastian Bach, Turbowolf, The Bronx, Gallows, Chiodos, Anti-Nowhere League, The Lounge Kittens, Dog Eat Dog performing ‘All Boro Kings’, Electric Wizard, Anti-flag, Black Spiders, Brutality Will Prevail, Empire, Krokodil, Raging Speedhorn, Reckless Love, Stampin' Ground, TesseracT, The Defiled, The Hell, The Hype Theory, The Safety Fire, Deftones, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Reel Big Fish, and more.

Tickets are priced at £170 or £205 with camping, plus booking fees. A car parking pass is £18 and a campervan pass is £65.

Friday tickets are priced at £55 and Saturday or Sunday tickets are priced at £75.

There is also a deposit scheme available for a first non-refundable payment of £50.

The festivals is for all ages, under 16s accompanied by an adult 18+. Children under 5 are not advised but will be admitted. The campsite will opens on Thursday 3rd July at 1pm and will close at midday on Monday 7th July with the arena opening at 10am on Friday 4th July.
