Kaiser Chiefs to play The Great Escape

with appearance at unannounced venue and time

Amazon.co.uk have revealed that the Kaiser Chiefs will play an exclusive show headlining the 'Amazon Artist Lounge Live: The Secret Show' at this year’s The Great Escape festival in Brighton.

The Great Escape features international and UK pop, cutting edge, hip hop, electronic, and rock acts showcased at venues all over Brighton. The dates are confirmed as Thursday 8th until Saturday 10th May 2014.

The line-up includes Example, Kelis, Wild Beasts, Charli XCX, A Plastic Rose, Adult Jazz, Albert Hammond, Jr., Amber Run, Arthur Beatrice, Augustines, Autobahn, Baby In Vain, Badbadnotgood, Benjamin Clementine, Best Friends, Big Ups, Black City Lights, Blaenavon, Broken Twin, Childhood, Chloe Howl, Circa Waves, Clean Bandit, Courtney Barnett, Coves, Darlia, Denai Moore, Dog Is Dead, Drowners, Dry The River, Eliza & The Bear , Ella Eyre, Elli Ingram, Ethan Johns, Ezra Furman, Fabienne, Fat White Family, Femme, Flux Pavilion, Flyte, Francois & The Atlas Mountains, Ftse, Future Islands, Fyfe, George Ezra, Gnarwolves, Honeyblood, Hozier, Jimi Goodwin, Joel Compass, Jon Hopkins, Josh Record, Jungle, Kieran Leonard, Le1f, Little Dragon, Marika Hackman, Marmozets, Mo, Ps I Love You, Royal Blood, Saint Raymond, September Girls, Serafina Steer, Superfood, Telegram, The Hold Steady, The Rails, The Subways, The Xcerts, These New Puritans, Traams, Twin Atlantic, Woman's Hour and Young Summer.

In total 400+ bands have been announced, performing in more than 35 venues spread across Brighton over the course of three days.

In its nine year history, The Great Escape has quickly established itself as an international platform for new talent, with over 30 countries represented throughout the three-day programme.

The early bird has ended. Tickets are priced at £54 plus booking fee for the weekend (not including the Dome shows), other options are no longer available.

A ticket to Example's appearance at the Brighton Dome on Thursday are priced at £18.50.

The War Child presents Wild Beasts, The New Puritans, and Adult Jazz show on Friday is separately tickets and priced at £17.50 and includes a. £1 donation to War Child  

A top up ticket for those with a 3 day festival ticket to ensure guaranteed access are priced at £7.

As well as the live music, there's also a number of "Parkinson" style interviews with luminaries from the world of Music and Media, to show the way in which success is achieved, as well as educational panels, workshops and networking sessions. The UK's premiere music business convention, is a place for music industry professionals from across the world to exchange knowledge, ideas, contacts and business.

The venues are all a close walk from each other with each venue equipped to an international showcase standard.
