Pharrell Williams, and The 1975 have been announced for BBC Radio 1's 11th annual free Big Weekend will take place in Glasgow Green, Glasgow, in Scotland taking place over three days from Friday 23rd until Sunday 25th May 2014.

They join Rita Ora an Paolo Nutini on the line-up that's free for 60,000 music fans.

The first acts have been announced for Friday with Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, and Danny Howard confirmed for the dance evening at George Square for 14,000 over 18s only.

Ticket details have also been confirmed. Free passes for Friday will be issued at 7:45pm this Friday, 28 March, then at 8am on Monday 31st March free tickets will be made available for each of the remaining days.There is no age restriction on Saturday and Sunday; however under-16s will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

Tickets will be free and are obtained through a lottery. There is no charge for the concert itself, but a handling fee per ticket will be applied to help cover all associated ticket handling costs. The majority of the tickets for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2014 are being allocated to people living in Lanarkshire and the surrounding boroughs.
