Ray Davies to headline new Hop Farm Music Festival

Ray Davies and his band will headline the Friday night of the 'all new'  Hop Farm music festival which is now under a new management team at the Kent family park from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July 2014 in Paddock Wood, Kent.

Also confirmed for the main stage are Deacon Blue, Billy Ocean, Dr John, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Arrested Development, Echo and the Bunnymen, 10cc, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Treetop Flyers, and Moya.

The Second Stage also has some new additions with headliners Cara Dillon and The Orchestra of Ireland, and Nick Lowe, joined by Daptone Super Soul Review, Jukebox the Ghost, Peter Hook and the Light, Ian McNabb, Charlotte Church, Slow Club, Ren Harvieu, Polly & The Billets Doux, Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, My Darling Clementine, The New Forbidden, and Danny and the Champions Of The World added to the bill.

Headliners Royal Southern Brotherhood, and Curtis Stigers join Tony Joe Wright at the top of the Jazz & Blues Lounge line-up featuring Brassroots, The All Stars Collective, Zoe Rahman, Jacqui Dankworth, Gabby Young and Other Animals, Dana Fuchs, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Yolanda Brown, Zara McFarlane, Soft Machine Legacy, BabaJack, Laurence Jones, Josephine, Toby Jepson, Cameron Pierre, Ian Mclagan, Virgil and the Accelerators, Pacifico Blues, The Weave, Big Boy Bloater + The Limits, and Simon McBride.

Comic Jo Brand, and Rich Hall's Hoedown, headlining the comedy stage with support from Seann Walsh, Josh Widdicombe, Andrew Maxwell, Simon Evans, Rob Rouse, Tom Stade, Angela Barnes, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Deering, Katherine Ryan, Rob Beckett, Charlie Baker, and Suzi Ruffell.

They join Saturday headliner Brian Wilson will be making a UK exclusive performance, and Maximo Park headline the second stage. Also confirmed are Bellowhead, Eliza Doolittle, Marc Almond, The Full English (the super group whose members include Seth Lakeman, Martin Simpson and Fay Hield), Chas & Dave, Scouting For Girls, Slow Club, The Family Rain, The Beat, Midlake, Tony Joe White, James Blunt, Caro Emerald, Paul Carrack, Squeeze and The Feeling. 

More acts are still to be confirmed including Sunday's headliner.

Weekend tickets are priced at £135. Early bird tickets with camping are priced at £148.50. A young person's (aged 13-16 years) earlybird weekend camping ticket is priced at £89, and a child (aged 3-12 years) earlybird weekend camping ticket is priced at £31.50, and a campervan pass is priced at £80.

This year’s festival will feature a main stage in the arena, plus The Jazz and Blues Lounge, The Comedy Tent, and The Unsigned stage to support emerging artists and local talent from the South East of England.

The Hop Farm Festival will also offer a Kidz Zone, plus Hop Farm Band Stands throughout the site all programmed with a vast array of music experiences, a Silent Disco for those who wish to continue dancing the night away, a vintage fairground for all the family and circus performers.
