Chas Hodges and Uncle Funk to headline Stortford Music Festival

Chas Hodges Band (one half of Chas & Dave) and local act Uncle Funk will headline Stortford Music Festival which takes place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May 2014 on St Mary's School Field, in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire and aims to encourage the participation and enjoyment of folk arts, drawing on assistance from the local community. Along with a UK-wide network of musicians, dancers, tutors and enthusiasts, opportunities are provided for people of all ages to come together to learn, listen, network, and enjoy live music.

Joining Chas on the bill on Saturday are Chas & Dave, Small Fakers, Roddy Radiation & the Skabilly Rebels, New Town Kings, The Kazans, 27 Strings, Mozzy Green, Intercity Crazy Train, The Huxleys, Violence, Bowties & Blazers, Heidi Browne, Ryan Thwaits, Dave Harris, The Centimes, When Giants Fall, The Sea, Bad Wolf, Sam Ashford and The Peliroccos, Dean Austin, Suburban Dirts, Jonny Stemp, Flux 32, 28 Boulevard , Jono, Get Ready For Yeti, Cruel Folk, Blood Bank Ghost, Lily Juniper, and Steven Glithero.

Sunday's line-up sees Uncle Funk joined by The Men They Couldn't Hang, C.C. Smugglers, Papa Shango, Elliot Porter & The Missing Pieces, Nina Baker, Charlotte Howell, This Is Eight, Troika, Hinton Ft Joe Gibbs, F.O.X, Dan Starr, Keef Jackman, The Worldonfire, Whom By Fire, Some Velvet Morning, Theo Howarth, Frett, Jingo, SHE, Russell Joslin, High Flying Wolves, Aliceband, Sleeve of Hearts, Abjects, Ralph Taylor, The 5 String Drop Out Band, and Model Village.

Expect over 70 acts on stages that under marquees plus street performance, a festival market, hot and cold food, live sessions popping up everywhere, craft and music stalls, plus children's activities.

Tickets are priced as follows:
Adult Day - £16
Adult Weekend - £27
Youth Day - £8
Youth Weekend - £13.50
Family Weekend (Two adults, two youths) - £65
Children aged four and under can attend for free.
 
Prices do not include booking fees. 

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
