Following the news that next summer's Wireless Festival weekend will become two events with a sister festival over the same weekend, Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July 2014 in Birmingham, the event's new home has been revealed.

The location for the event which moves from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, looks set to be Finsbury Park in London where it will celebrate it's tenth year next summer. Although it has not been officially announced, and the venue for Birmingham has not yet been revealed.

Wireless started in 2005 in Hyde Park, and has previously expanded to cover two locations when in 2006 and 2007 it happened as a two day event at Harewood House near Leeds.

Haringey Council gave promoters Live Nation an indefinite licence to hold festivals in the park for years to come for up to 49,000 people, yesterday evening.

The park is able to hold five big events a year, with each event lasting one to three days, with Arctic Monkeys already announced there for two days it's possible Live Nation's other flagship Calling event (previously Hard Rock Calling) could also be making the move across London.
