Appearing at their only UK shows in 2014 Blink 182 have been revealed as the first Main Stage headliner for Reading and Leeds Festivals which happen over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The ‘All The Small Things’ American hitmakers are making their fourth appearance at the twin festivals, and also making a return to the main stage is Jake Bugg., while Disclosure return in 2014 to headline the NME/Radio 1 Stage, with Metronomy also confirmed.

Headlining the Rock Stage will be Of Mice & Men with what will be their exclusive festival performances in England & Wales. Appearing on the returning BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage will be Wilkinson, and I Am Legion will take to the BBC Radio 1Xtra Stage.

Festival boss Melvin Benn said, "2013 was a year of exciting additions for Reading & Leeds Festivals, making them bigger and better than ever. With extra stages and genres at both sites, there was a new diversityfor all our fans to enjoy. However the core essence of the festival hasn’t changed and I think the line-up for next year will most certainly reflect that.

"I know our fans will be delighted to welcome back our first headliners, Blink-182, with what promises to be an amazing show, as well as the brilliant Jake Bugg stepping up to the Main Stage. I can’t wait to reveal the rest of our incredible line-up, so watch this space!”

£50 deposit tickets went on sale today. Deposit ticket buyers will then need to make 3 more payments of £53.50 taken automatically on the 1st of every month (Feb, Mar, Apr). If this payment plan is cancelled you will not be able to restart up the monthly payment plan if you decide you do want to keep your ticket, you will have to purchase a full price ticket.

Campervan tickets are also on sale priced at £60, as are early entry permits priced at £15.

Tickets are on sale at 2013 prices until January, that means they are priced at £202.50 and postage fees will apply per order. with an early entry permit priced at £15, a car park pass is priced at £5, locker hire is £16 for the weekend, and a campervan pass is priced at £60.

Children under 13 (12 and under) are admitted free but MUST be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Please note there is no separate children's area at this event, and eFestivals considers this an event not really suitable for small children.

Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire with both events happening over the weekend of Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August 2014.
