The Stranglers will be headlining the Saturday night of Bearded Theory festival next year happening at Catton Hall, in Derbyshireon Bank Holiday weekend with music starting from Thursday 22nd until Sunday 25th May 2014.

They are joined on the bill by Dexters, and Merry Hell. Organisers said, "We still have two more big names to be announced to complete the day."

Also confirmed are Hayseed Dixie who will headline Tornado Town on Saturday with support from Ferocious Dog.

Also announced are the first acts acts for the Magical Sounds line-up with DJ Billy Nasty headlining Friday night and supported by Astralasia, Chris Liberator, Glowbones, Tribazik, Mark One, and Drum Machine Electric.

On Saturday Eat Static will make a return as headliner alongside Ege Bamyasi, Ted Triangle v Ed Tangent, The Shamen's Mr C, Finitribe Soundsystem, Ctrl Alt Del, and Clumsy.

Sunday will present an afternoon based celtic soundclash with the Monster Ceilidh Band, and Suns of Arqa, but will culminate with The Orb Sound System presenting the Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld and UFOrb live and Celt Islam, DJ Templehead, Liquid Lounge, and Denzileo in support.

Magical Sounds daily opening ceremony will once again be performed by Drum Machine.

Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs will be headlining Tornado Town on Thursday night supported by Thinker.

Organisers add, "We still have many more names to be announced to complete all the stages and the Something Else Tea Tent and The Nook line ups are yet to be released in their entirety. Keep a check on the website for more details."

They join a line-up that includes Friday headliners Carter USM, The Blockheads, Steve Ignorant & Paranoid Visions, Swamp Delta, Fishbone, Oysterband, Anti-Vigilante, 3 Daft Monkeys, The Membranes, King Prawn, Leatherat, The True Deceivers, The Karma Party, Tarantism, Colm Gray, Babyhead, New Groove Formation, The Sporadics, The Autonomads, Black Star Dub Collective, Boot Hill All Stars, Doghouse Boat Boys, Dynamite Pussy Club, Funke and the Two Tone Baby, Just James, Poor Old Dogs, Rusty Shackle, Sean McGowan, and Peter Hook and The Ligh performing a Joy Division and New Order classic set.

A weekend camping with Thursday ticket is priced at £87. A 12-15 year old weekend ticket is priced at £45, a child's aged 6-11 weekend tickets is priced at £25 whether for arrival on Thursday or Friday, children aged 5 and under are free and Family Tickets are priced at £220 (2 x adult & 2 x children). All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 

There will a charge for car parking of £10. A live in vehicle ticket is priced at £30.

Bearded Theory Festival is also offering a unique chance for unsigned bands to appear at the 2014 event. Fans will be able to choose which acts are selected to appear with the Bearded Breakthrough competition offering two winners the chance to play either the Main Stage or the Tornado Town second stage. The contest is open to acts in all genres who have not appeared at Bearded Theory previously.
