The Green Man Festival has announced it will host a new comedy stage called 'Last Laugh' part of 'Babbling Tongues', Green Man's latest new area which also houses 'Talking Shop' a new spoken word and literature stage.

The 'Last Laugh' comedy stage will feature a line-up of over 40 stand-up comics live on stage from 7pm to 2am every night. The first of these have been announced as Josh Widdicombe, Pappy's, Tom Deacon, Angela Barnes, Jarred Christmas, Suzi Ruffell, Joel Dommett, Mike Bubbins, Caroline Mabey, Tom Bell, Holly Burn, Gavin Osborn, and Elis James.

Green Man's new spoken word and literature stage 'Talking Shop' is also located in the new 'Babbling Tongues' area and will be home to a line-up of authors, musicians, poets and playwrights including Robert Wyatt, Julian Cope, James Yorkston in conversation with Pete Paphides, The Wyrd with Mark Pilkington, Frances Morgan & Ghost Box Records, Bob Stanley's Pop Quiz, Rhian E Jones in conversation with Marie Nixon and Dr. Emma Jackson, Pete Brown, and Owen Sheers.

This year's festival at Glanusk Park, Usk Valley, Powys, Wales happening over the weekend of Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th August has a 'heroes' theme.

Previously announced are Friday headliners Kings Of Convenience, Band of Horses who headline Saturday night (both UK festival exclusives), and Ben Howard is Sunday night headliner. The Green Man Festival is a four day event with three days of music and more than 100 acts playing indie, psychedelia, Americana, and folk across 5 stages, while DJs playing everything from psychedlia, dub-reggae, modern electro and stoner rock right through the night.

Literature, film, theatre, ceilidhs, all-night bonfires, comedy and secret gigs are part of the festival's identity. The festival has carved a niche as a non-corporate and ethically-minded festival.

An adult weekend ticket is on sale priced at £145 for adults, £125 for students, £75 for teenagers (aged 13 to 17 years), and £5 for children aged 5 to 12 years, infants and 4 and under can attend free, but need a ticket. A live-in vehicle ticket is priced at £60, and holiday tickets (bought in addition to a weekend ticket, allowing camping at Glanusk Park from Monday 12th August for 3 days before the festival opens) are priced at £40.
