second wave of acts washes in for Boardmasters

Frightened Rabbit, Miles Kane, and The Joy Formidable top the second wave of acts confirmed for this summer's Boardmasters happening from Wednesday 7th to Sunday 11th August 2013.

Joining Frightened Rabbit on the Friday line-up are We Are The Ocean, Ryan Keen, Andy Burrows (I Am Arrows), and Friday will also welcome Mistajam's Speakerbox project with Friction, Ayah Marar, Roses Gabor, MC Majestic, Decibel, and Second City plus a special guest headliner to be announced.

Saturday's bill sees the addition of Miles Kane, Ben Caplan, Brother & Bones, and Boardmasters favourite Josh Kumra.

Whilst on Sunday Boardmasters will be host to The Joy Formidable, Hudson Taylor, ahab, The Skints, The Breaks Collective, MJ Cole, Devolution, and Copy Paste Soul.

Also confirmed are local acts Darko, Alex Tiernan-Locke, Robbin Parris, Tommie Quick, Tom Costelloe, Tim Nice, and Ashley Thomas.

Headliners The Vaccines on Friday, Basement Jaxx on Saturday, and Ben Howard on Sunday, plus Everything Everything, Tom Odell,Grandmaster Flash, Delphic, Little Comets, Clean Bandit, Cosmo Jarvis, The Other Tribe, Dusky, T Williams, Bondax, Gorgon City, Monki, Maribou City, Panda, and Eton Messy DJs are already confirmed for the event which takes place over five days at a cliff-top location overlooking Watergate Bay, in Cornwall featuring music across nine stages. Boardmasters is held on three sites across Newquay offering action sports including surf, skate, bmx, plus daily live music acts and the music festival.

The line-up for either the Beach Sessions or the Daytime Music Sessions has not yet been announced, and tickets for these separately ticketed events are not yet on sale.

This year sees the introduction of a third night of the music festival at Watergate Bay. An adult weekend ticket for the three days from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th August 2013 is priced at £99, and £109 with camping. Deposit options are available. Day Tickets and Beach Sessions tickets will bre available at a later date. A weekend car park pass is £10, and a campervan pass is priced at £25. Children aged 10 years and under can attend free but require a ticket.
