De La Soul cancel UK dates

It looks as though hip-hop legends De La Soul have cancelled all their UK appearances this summer.

The New York trio's who had scheduled appearances in the UK including Stockton Weekender have had to cancel them after the band had to rearrange their schedule in the USA, and not travel to the UK as planned. De La Soul hope to return to play those affected festivals another year.

The Stockton Weekender Facebook page broke the news - revealing they would not be appearing at their event, saying, "The news comes as a disappointment to the band and affects two other English festivals – and although De La Soul hope to return to play those affected festivals another year; it won’t be happening in 2013."

In a clarification to this story, Standon Calling have informed us that De La Soul have not cancelled their Standon Calling headline appearance.
