Festival Director, Kat Morris said, "The core aim of TGE is to champion new music, and it's great to be in a position where we can give festival goers an exciting cross-section of new artists to engage with. In our 8th year we are completely focused on delivering another programme that wholly embodies this ethos, and our initial line-up is full of promise for this year to be one of our best to date."

In its eight year history, The Great Escape has quickly established itself as an international platform for new talent, with over 30 countries represented throughout the three-day programme, from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain and the US. The 2012 festival hosted 16,000 attendees over the three-day event, of which 3,000 attendees were also registered delegates, representing 25 countries respectively.

A three day super early bird ticket is priced at £45. To buy tickets, click here.

It's also possible to book accommodation early at The Great Escape's official hostel partner Journeys, for £45 a bed a night.

The venues are all a close walk from each other with each venue equipped to an international showcase standard. This year's partner country has not yet been confirmed.

As well as the live music, there's also a number of "Parkinson" style interviews with luminaries from the world of Music and Media, to show the way in which success is achieved, as well as educational panels, workshops and networking sessions.

The Alternative Escape will be returning to TGE once again now larger than ever before, taking in over 20 additional venues to the core TGE programme. The Alternative Escape allows promoters, media partners, record labels and anyone else interested in promoting live music to host their own creative showcases as part of the wider Great Escape Festival.
