Says Toffen Gunnufsen, head booker at Hove, said, "We are very pleased to finally being able to bring back Kings of Leon to Norway and Hove. The band ranks on top of our audience's wish lists and we know they have a big and devoted following in Norway. This has been one of our goals since we started up the festival seven years ago, and we are of course very pleased that Kings of Leon could fit us into their tour schedule."
The first acts to be confirmed were Crystal Castles, Enter Shikari, Asking Alexandria, Bullet For My Valentine, Chvrches, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
Hove Festival mixes international acts with Norwegian bands in a unique setting on Tromøya island outside Arendal city. The event lasts five days with the sun only setting for two hours each night. The dates for 2012 are Tuesday 2nd until Friday 5th July.
The Hove Festival was the first festival outside of Britain to join Festival Republic, the organizers involved with Reading/Leeds Festival, and Latitude.
Hove Festival tries to set new standards for environmental awareness and campers must sign eco-contract that promises not to leave a 'single footprint' behind. Besides the music there's art installations, scenes, yet-to-be-released movies and ecological food.
A festival pass is priced at 2500 NOK (approx £276) including camping. To buy tickets, click here.
