Evolution 2013 dates announced

Evolution Music Festival has announced that it will return to Spiller's Wharf, Tyne & Wear on the late May Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday 26th and Sunday 27th May 2013.

A crowd of 60,000 expected over the weekend for the outdoor shows on the Quayside that straddles Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead. There are no acts confirmed yet for 2013, a full line up announcement will be made in early 2013.

Festival Director, Jim Mawdsley explains why Evolution is making the early bird offer so soon, "We are working on our strongest line up to date and are overwhelmed by the quality of artists wanting to come and perform on the banks of the River Tyne at Evolution 2013. Last year was massive and we thought we'd give those who've been loyal fans the chance to buy their weekend tickets at last year's prices."

Organisers have announced a price freeze for 2013 with weekend tickets priced at £35. Tickets will then be £39.50 for the 2 day event and £29.50 for each individual day.
