HMS Bestival which returns to Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight to celebrate it's 10th birthday, and happens from Thursday 5th until Sunday 8th September 2013 has announced via Facebook the theme for next year's festival.

The festival tonight has revealed that they will be holding a 10th Birthday Party on the Thursday night of the festival, when HMS Bestival will be pushing the boat out. Festival goers are invited to jump aboard.

On deck of HMS Bestival is skipper Rob da Bank who said: "All the nice girls love a sailor and all the boys love a mermaid. Think deckhands, anchors, beach parties, Moby Dick, tattooed ladies, Titanic, shipwrecks, Hawaii, Treasure Island, rum bars in scuzzy ports, message in a bottle, the crow’s nest, sea legends, monster breakers and tall tales of life on the ocean waves. Nautical but nice! There's no better time to join the good ship HMS Bestival and our trusty crew of merrimakers than now with Crimbo approaching, so get your Golden Early Bird Tickets and prepare to set sail me hearties!"

Rob da Bank will be manning the rails, splicing the main brace and rocking the sailor's hornpipe at the Bestival Classics opening night birthday party on Thursday 5th September.

Helping him to celebrate 10 years of decadence, will be co-hosts The Cuban Brothers who will take the helm for a night of merry mayhem, featuring some extra special guests who will be plumbing a decade of lines-ups for Bestival's salty seadogs.

Bestival is offering a festive Early Bird Christmas Promotion with an exclusive memento golden souvenir ticket to give to someone special (almost as nice as an eFestivals calendar - click here).

Tickets for Bestival sold out last year. Early bird tickets including entry from Thursday 4th September are priced at £180 for Adult Tickets and £120 for Teen (age 13-17) Tickets. For those arriving on or after Friday 5th September adult tickets are priced at £170. Tickets for children (age 12 & under) are free (but must have a ticket). A campervan ticket is priced at £85 (per vehicle), and car parking is priced at £10 advance (or £15 cash on arrival).

Early bird tickets will be available until January 1st 2013, tickets are also available on a 34 week payment plan for Friday entry weekend tickets and a 36 week payment plan for Thursday entry weekend tickets. That means that an adult ticket can now be bought with a payment of just a fiver a week! Anyone purchasing an Early Bird ticket will be able to upgrade to a Wild Copse ticket, once they go on sale.

As well as the music, Bestival has the world's biggest fancy dress party for 50,000 festival goers. The festival also offers a vibrant mix of cocktail bars, laughter clubs, a farmers market, kids area, morris dancing, magical moments and more, as one of the most colourful events on the festival calendar.
