The second headliner announced for Portugal's Optimus Alive 2013 is Kings of Leon.

Kings of Leon will be headlining the final day (Sunday 14th July) at the Passeio Maritimo de Alges. The band who formed in 2000, launched the first 'EP' two years later, titled 'Holy Roller Novocaine.' This was followed by the album 'Youth and Young Manhood' (2003) 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' (2004), 'Because of The Times' (2007), 'Only by the Night' (2008) and most recently 'Come Around Sundown' (2010). The band have revealed they are currently working on a new album.

Kings Of Leon last appeared in Europe in 2011 when they also took in a stadium tour of the UK, alongside a headline show at the Isle of Wight Festival, and a few European festival appearances. The band are not yet officially announced by Optimus Alive 2013, who have confirmed they will make an announcement this week.

The 6th annual Music and Arts festival, Optimus Alive!13, takes place in Lisbon, the capital of sunny Portugal, between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th of July, with bands starting at 5pm each day.

Depeche Mode were the first act confirmed for 2013.

With the Tagus River as landscape to explore the festival has arts, cafes, restaurants, as well as music on offer.

Tickets are priced at £103 for a weekend pass with camping, or £89.30 without camping, and day tickets are priced at £45.
