Wig loving Nicki Minaj's appearance at the twin V Festivals next weekend, Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th August, hangs in the balance after doctors ordered her to rest for two weeks after damaging her vocal chords.

The colourful rapper had to make two live appearances today in the USA including one on the Today show, appearing with a bruised vocal cord. She tweeted (here) after her first set of early songs, "Doctors orders. Out for the count now." And she added, "Another x-ray cmng up!"

Yesterday, the 'Starships' singer tweeted that she would have to take "two weeks" off to rest her voice, which would have meant not doing today's shows, or appearing at V or Dublin, she tweeted, "The doctor has asked me to take 2 wks of voice rest... But... I'd have 2 miss both shows tmrw, ^ 2 UK festivals, + Dublin."

It's clear that after her performances today Minaj still wants to perform at this weekend's V Festival, and is considering going against her medical advice. Fans are awaiting the results of the singer's x-ray, and hoping that Minaj will still be able to appear.

Make sure any tickets you buy are legitimate. eFestivals always links to official ticket outlets (and doesn't host adverts for unofficial outlets unlike other festival websites!) so you can be sure that any ticket bought via eFestivals will get you into the festival of your choice. Do not purchase tickets from unofficial or secondary ticket outlets or auction sites as they often are unable to supply the tickets, and might not even give you a refund - there's lots of dodgy operators out there!
