MFest due to be held at Harewood House, in Leeds this weekend on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July 2012 has been cancelled.

A statement from organisers says:
"It is with our deepest regret that due to the adverse weather conditions leading up to this event in conjunction with the extreme weather warning as issued by the met office for the weekend, we were left with no other decision than to abandon this weekends MFEST.

This was a joint decision made between the promoter, the production team, health and safety and Harewood House.

We sought advice from a number of agencies including Leeds City Council before making the decision.

The public's health and safety is of paramount concern, therefore it would be irresponsible to continue however disappointed we all are.

Information on ticket refunds will be issued on Monday 9th July
."
The line-up would have included The Human League, Texas, Matt Cardle, Levellers, Scouting For Girls, Inspiral Carpets, The Farm, Paul Heaton, Heaven 17, Soul II Soul, Beverley Knight, Bob Geldof, Cher Lloyd, Paul Heaton's the 8th, Clement Marfo & The Frontline, From The Jam, The Low Suits, Blockheads, Glen Matlock, Steve Appleton, Missing Andy, and Secret Affair.
