Kendal Calling reveals new dance stage Kube line-up

This summer's 'Fairy Tales & Comic Books' themed Kendal Calling have revealed a new dance stage for 2012, The Kube which will feature a line-up of regional acts alongside DJs from other arenas to come along and feature on the new intimate stage many playing sets you wouldn't normally expect.

The Kopperberg Kube will host extra sets from DJ Yoda, A Skillz, Ghostpoet, Aim (DJ Set), D/R/U/G/S, and Olugbenga (Metronomy DJ Set). Plus bolstering the line-up will be Linton Brown, Cutloose DJs , El Diablo Social Club, Soanso, Boogizm DJs, Karl Yates, Oceius, Genre Sluts, Howard Sessions, Ki Creighton, Fallback Productions , and Kieron Stafford.

Also confirmed to appear at the Glow Dance Tent are Zinc, Fingathing, Mele, Aim (DJ Set), Earl Gateshead, Danny Beck, Ash Howell, and Tuesday Club DJs.

Friday night will be headed up by Maximo Park, Saturday night will see the return to Kendal Calling of Dizzee Rascal, and Sunday night will be closed by James. Also confirmed are Shy FX, Benga, Andy C, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Feeder, Little Roy, Shed Seven, Jack Beats (DJ set), Dodgy, Inspiral Carpets, Utah Saints, Ms Dynamite, Vintage Trouble, Dreadzone, Twisted Wheel, 16bit, A Skillz, Phaeleh, Various Cruelties, To Kill A King, Dub Pistols (DJ Set), Juan Zelada, The Lancashire Hotpots, The Correspondents, Craig Charles, Cut A Shine, Dizraeli And The Small Gods, Hidden Orchestra, King Porter Stomp, Lazy Habits, Louis Barabbas & The Bedlam Six, Slamboree, The Monster Ceilidh Band, Yes Sir Boss, Olugbenga (Metronomy DJ Set), Bombskare, and more.

The music and activities at Kendal Calling, held at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in East Cumbria over the weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July span 14 diverse stages and areas in a close-knit site with areas including Mainstage, GLoW dance tent, Calling Out new music stage, Chai Wallahs in the Kaylied area, Soapbox, Kids Area, Kendal Calling Real Ale Festival tent, Garden of Eden, Village Green, New Woodland area (details tba), Happy Slap boutique, Riot Jazz, Houseparty, Sailor Jerry's, Songsmith Solar stage, and new for 2012; Kopparberg Kube and Tim Peak's Diner brought to you by Tim Burgess of the Charlatans.

The family friendly event offers 3 days, plus early entry Thursday, of dancing, juggling, contortionists, comedy, site art and much more. Plus posh camping options in the revamped Emperors Fields.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £105, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket were priced at £50, and children under 11 can attend for free, but needed a ticket. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Thursday early bird tickets are priced at £10 (only valid with a full weekend ticket).

Traditional festival camping is at no extra cost and included in ticket price. There is also the new and improved Emperors Fields an all quiet camping and ideal for families. To stay here is an additional £25 per adult, a child (11-14 years) is £12.50 per person, and children under 11 can attend for free. Campervan or Caravan fields are £50 per vehicle pass in Emperors Fields area, which includes two adults. Any additional adults or children will need an Emperors Fields ticket per person.
