The Wickerman adds acts across the festival line-up

The Wickerman Festival have announced more acts across the festival led by additions to the main, to Summerisle Stage, line-up in the form of Finding Albert, Bwani Junction, and Horndog Brass Band.

The Scooter Tent's new additions are Root System, Big Fat Panda, and The Counterfeit Clash.

On Friday The Acoustic Village will host Rachel Sermanni, Stephen Langstaff, Tragic O Hara, David Cowan, The Moonzie Allstars, The Hang Project, Hailey Beavis, Zoe Bestel, Novante, Sarah Ade, and Jono and Inge.

Whilst on Saturday the Village line-up includes Artmagic the collaboration between Suede guitarist Richard Oakes and songwriter and producer Sean McGhee, The Darcy Da Silva Band, Duncan Maitland, Alan Frew, and Jamie Uchima aka Nursing Deva .

Also performing across the weekend will be Have Mercy Las Vegas, The Cats, Kevin Gore, Dumfries Community Choir, Calum Gilligan, Caught on the Hop, Beck Goldsmith, and Martyn Wheeler.

The line-up for The Axis Reggae Tent sees Dr Huxtable, mikey don, Bigga Shakatone, Wassie One, Big Toes HiFi, Apache Hi-Fi, DJ Scratchy, Emjay, Mr P, Steve Tauntra, Sister Gad, and Tony Roots take to the stage.

Making spontaneous appearances over the weekend will be Walkabout band Blowjangles, and opening the festival on Thursday in The Greenman Inn will be rhythmnreel, DJ Jason Dupuy, Inishowen Ceilidh Band, The Chihuahuas, Davy Cowan & The Hose Beast.

On top of all that Headphone Disco will keep the crowds dancing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Festival Coordinator Helen Chalmers commented, "We're delighted to announce this raft of new additions which crosses so many genres of music. Renowned artists will come from all corners of the world to perform at Wickerman - and there's a sense amongst the festival team that it’s going to be very special year! We can't wait to see the first campers arriving on our beautiful festival site."

The Wickerman Festival takes place at East Kirkcarswell Farm in Dumfries & Galloway and takes place from Friday 20th and Saturday 21st July, 2012.

The line-up goes across ten stages including the Summerisle Stage, Scooter Tent, The Acoustic Village, Axis Sound System Reggae Tent, Bass Camp, Greenman Inn, Headphone Arena, Ho Down Wendy House, Solus and more.

All ticket prices have been frozen at last year's levels until 30th June 2012. Tickets are priced at £90 including camping and car parking. Concessions (13-15 years old) are priced £45 for a limited time and will only be available online. Children under 13 go free. Caravan/campervan tickets are an additional £30 with a further £50 to this ticket price for an electrical hook up.

As always, the weekend festivities will be brought to a spectacular close with the crowd-gathering tradition of burning the 40ft Wickerman statue at midnight on Saturday.

Everyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and bring proof of age - anyone without proof of ID will be liable to pay the full adult ticket price at the gate. We also recommend anyone who looks under 21 to bring ID with them. The ages shown on the tickets refer to the age of the child/concession on the day of the festival (not the age at time of purchase).
