Sweden Rock Festival has announced its first act for next year will be Canadian rock veterans Rush making their first appearance at a European festival in 33 years.
Rush will headline on Saturday 8th June 2013 with the trio of Geddy Lee (vocals/bass), Alex Lifeson (guitar) and Neil Peart (drums) bringing one of the greatest stage productions in Rush's entire history, and the biggest they have ever brought to Europe.
Their show at Sweden Rock Festival will be the only festival appearance in Europe, and the band's first festival appearance since they played at Pinkpop in Holland in 1979. Rush will bring their full stage production to Sweden Rock.
Tickets for Sweden Rock Festival are expected to be priced around 2390,00 kr (approx £225) for 4 day tickets and will go on sale Tuesday 25th September 2012.
Sweden Rock Festival takes place from Wednesday 5th until Saturday 8th June 2013, in the northern Swedish town of Solvesborg.
