Tim Minchin tops the comedy at GuilFest

eFestivals can exclusively reveal the comedy line-up for this year's eFestivals' Cosmic Comedy Tent, returning with a brilliant line up of side splitting comics to this summer's GuilFest.

Also bringing the laughs to GuilFest main stages this year will be Australian musician, composer, songwriter, actor, comedian and writer Tim Minchin and his band who will be appearing at the festival on Saturday 14th July.

The first names on the line-up in the eFestivals' Cosmic Comedy Tent which is programmed for us by Cosmic Comedy includes Kiwi funnyman Jarred Christmas who will headline on Saturday 14th July. Headlining the same tent on Friday is comedy musician Mitch Benn.

Throughout the rest of the weekend you can catch comedy circuit comics such as musical comedienne Helen Arney appearing on Sunday, intelligent wordsmith Jess Fostekew, and observational humorist Danny Ward performing on Saturday.

Also appearing over the three days of GuilFest 2012 are Tiernan Douieb, Brian Lacey, Yianni, Matt Richardson, Rich Wilson, Jonny Awsum, Chris Turner, John Mann, John Ryan, Brendan Dempsey, Tom Glover, and Mark Simmons, as well a selection of finalists from the NATYS (New Act of The Year Show). There are many more comedians still to be announced for the festival, including the Sunday night headline slot.

They join the first acts confirmed,Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, with special guest Roland Gift as Friday headliner. Saturday night headliner Olly Murs, and Jimmy Cliff, and over the coming weeks this will grow to a mind boggling 200+ acts performing across 8 stages over the weekend of the festival!

The festival held over the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July 2012 features eight stages of live music hosting more than 200 acts, plus The Man In The Moon Theatre Tent, The 70's Disco, Farmer Giles Barndance, The Eden Peoples' GuilFest Gallery, The Plantation Zone (an area specially for young people), and the brilliant GuilFest KidZone, arts and crafts, and delicious food and drink from all over the globe. For 2012's festival you can expect the return of famous stages such as the Rock Cave, the Dance Tent, the Punk Stage, and the Acoustic Lounge.

An adult weekend camping ticket is priced at £130, adult weekend tickets without camping are priced at £115, child (aged 12-15 years old) weekend with camping £80 and child weekend tickets without camping are priced at £65. A campervan ticket is priced at £60.

People aged 16 years and over at the time of the festival will have to buy an adult ticket. Anyone under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over. Children aged 12-15 years old at the time of the festival will need to purchase a child's ticket. Children aged 11 years or younger at the time of the festival are admitted free accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.
