The Stone Roses, and The Killers to headline V Festival

The Stone Roses, and The Killers will headline this year's twin V Festival, which will take place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th August.

Celebrating it's seventeenth year the twin event will be headlined by the original Madchester foursome The Stone Roses on Saturday at Hylands Park and Sunday at Weston Park with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds appearing before them. Returning US rockers The Killers headline on Saturday at Weston Park and Sunday at Hylands Park with Snow Patrol confirmed before them.

Celebrating it's seventeenth year the twin event will also see performances from Nicki Minaj, Tinie Tempah, Example, Ed Sheeran, James Morrison, Tom Jones, The Enemy, The Proclaimers, Olly Murs, Noah and the Whale, and The Stranglers.

Over the festival weekend there will also be sets from David Guetta, Nero, Keane, Madness, Friendly Fires, Happy Mondays, Professor Green, Emeli Sande, Ben Howard, Rizzle Kicks, Frank Turner, Labrinth, Maverick Sabre, Miles Kane, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Lissie, Shed Seven, The Ting Tings, The Human League, and The Proclaimers.

Plus Reverend And The Makers, Frank Ocean, Inspiral Carpets, The Rifles, DJ Fresh, Pixie Lott, and Dappy.

Festival Director, Simon Moran commented, "We're really delighted with the line-up this year. We have a great mix of artists topping a bill that will see the welcome return to live performance of Manchesters finest export, along with some of the biggest acts in the music industry today including The Killers, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran and the legendary Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds."

The Glee Club Comedy Tent also makes its return as the festival's fifth stage this year, with comedians including Doc Brown, Justin Moorhouse, Kevin McCarthy, Nathan Caton, Gary Delaney, John Fothergill, and many more to be announced in the lead up to the festival.

Tickets prices for 2012 have not yet been announced. Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday 2nd March, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
