Dizzee Rascal, Deadmau5, DJ Fresh, and SBTRKT lead the acts announced for Newcastle's Evolution Music Festival returning to Spiller's Wharf, Tyne & Wear on the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend of Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th June 2012.

Deadmau5 will head-up Evolution's bank holiday Monday line up with support from Noah and the Whale, Rizzle Kicks, Band Of Skulls, Here We Go Magic, Spector, Jess Ware, The Milk, and Mausi.
Ballast Hills is all about dance on Sunday with Turbulence & Metropolis presenting DJ Sets from DJ Fresh, Jack Beats, Shy FX, Friction, Toddla T, Dot Rotten, Citizen, and Codename:Tyrone.
Wax:On presents take over the bank holiday Monday and host DJ Sets from SBTRKT, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Maya Jane Coles, Eats Everything, Jackmaster, People Get Real, and Mike Jones on the Ballast Hills Stage.
Evolution promoter Jim Mawdsley commented, "We are very proud to bring such a strong and progressive line-up to Newcastle Gateshead for this year's Evolution Festival. We look forward to partying with you all in June."
There is still more to announce including the Evolution Emerging programme, Music Futures and the Jumpin Hot Club programme of shows that will be wrapped around Gateshead venues.
A crowd of 60,000 are expected over the weekend for the outdoor shows on the Quayside that straddles Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead.
